Protecting People, Not Borders: Solidarity with Immigrant Communities

At YNPN Phoenix, we believe that the strength of our community lies in its diversity, humanity, and compassion. We are deeply troubled by the recent ICE raids targeting immigrant communities across the country. These actions instill fear, separate families, and erode the trust that all people deserve to have in the systems meant to protect them.
We stand in firm opposition to the inhumane treatment of individuals and families at the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). As a network committed to building a thriving, inclusive, and resilient nonprofit sector, we believe it is our responsibility to speak out when injustice occurs.
Let us be clear: no one should live in fear. No one should be detained or deported without due process. And no one should be dehumanized for seeking safety, opportunity, or belonging.
We call on our fellow nonprofit professionals, partners, and neighbors to stand in solidarity with our immigrant and undocumented community members. We urge elected officials, nonprofit organizations, and all sectors to protect the dignity and rights of every individual, regardless of immigration status.
Now is the time to speak up. To organize. To care. To act.
