2017 has been a tremendous year of growth for our organization. We’ve increased our membership considerably, doubled the number of professional development events offered, and built new partnerships with organizations and leaders in the nonprofit sector.

YNPN Phoenix also turned ten years old this year, and we used this opportunity to undergo an exciting strategic planning process to align our vision and goals with our values as an organization. During this reflection period, we developed new chapter planning strategies, adopted a new mission statement, and identified four pillars upon which our organization is built.

These pillars- leadership development, advocacy, strategic collaboration, and sustainability- represent our commitment to this community and our efforts to enhance the nonprofit sector in Phoenix. We are extremely proud of all that we’ve accomplished to date and look forward to working alongside community advocates, organization leaders, and our members to invest in young talent and ensure that the nonprofit sector in Phoenix is equitable and inclusive for all.

This report is meant to highlight the impressive accomplishments YNPN Phoenix has achieved during the last year. More importantly though, it is meant to tell a story- a story of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed next. In all that we do, we continue to empower young professionals and be the voice of the next generation of nonprofit leaders. Although the sector faces a steep road ahead, we hope you’ll agree that YNPN Phoenix is a steadfast and committed partner in helping emerging leaders realize their full potential. One thing we know for sure: while the last ten years have been great, the next ten will be even better. So please join us and let’s work together to make the nonprofit sector in Phoenix the best it can be.
